If you normally wear a Nike / Adidas MEDIUM:

1. Their Chart: Fits a 32"–35" body waist.
2. Tapstitch Translation: Buy a LARGE.
3. Why: The Tapstitch Medium only starts at a 29.5" relaxed waist and maxes out its hip space at 43.3". A standard US Medium body will find the Tapstitch Large much closer to the classic Nike/Adidas relaxed fit.

If you normally wear a Nike / Adidas LARGE:

1. Their Chart: Fits a 35"–38" body waist.
2. Tapstitch Translation: Buy an XL.
3. Why: The Tapstitch Large has a relaxed waist of 31.5". While it will stretch to fit a 35" waist, it will pull tightly across the waist and hips. The XL will give you the breathing room you expect from standard American retail sizing.

If you normally wear a Nike / Adidas XL or 2XL:

1. Their Chart: XL fits 38"–43" waist | 2XL fits 43"+ waist.
2. Tapstitch Translation: Buy a 2XL (or these might run too small).
3. Why: The absolute largest size Tapstitch offers here (2XL) has a relaxed waist of 35.4" (stretching to about 40") and a hip of 49.2". If you are on the lower end of a US XL, the Tapstitch 2XL will fit like a slim, tailored pant. If you are a true US 2XL, these pants will likely be too tight.
